Their music is shaped by a fusion of progressive jazz harmonies, dynamic rock energy, and atmospheric soundscapes, creating a sound that is both intricate and emotionally compelling. Through fearless exploration, they blend improvisational freedom, rhythmic complexity, and melodic storytelling into a fresh and distinct sonic identity. Debuting their songwriting in 2020, Emptyyy follows a deeply collaborative process in crafting original compositions. Rega, a harmonica virtuoso, leads the melody, while Mikail colors the soundscape with unconventional guitar patterns. The rhythmic foundation is entrusted to Karel, whose tight, groovy drumming shapes their dynamic pulse. Their musical innovation gained international recognition in 2021, when Emptyyy (previously known as Empty) secured 2nd runner-up in The Papandayan Jazz Festival International Jazz Competition.
