Bali Cocktail Exchange Makes Its Debut from 12–17 September 2026
Bali’s first island-wide cocktail exchange brings together local, regional and international
bars for six days of guest shifts, education, dining and community programming.
BALI, INDONESIA — September 2026 — The inaugural Bali Cocktail Exchange (BCX) will take
place from 12–17 September 2026, bringing together bartenders, bars and hospitality
professionals from Bali, Jakarta and international cocktail destinations across Ubud, Seminyak
and Canggu.
Founded by Jas Farras and Vandena Yanarta, BCX was created as a platform for the local and
international bar community to meet, collaborate and exchange ideas. Across five days,
participating venues will host guest shifts alongside six masterclasses, four bartender
brunches, a cocktail dinner pairing and a public Community Village.
The programme opens in Ubud on 12 September, before moving to Seminyak on 14–15
September and concluding in Canggu on 16–17 September.
AN EXCHANGE ACROSS THE ISLAND
BCX brings the world of cocktails to Bali — and Bali to the world. Over six days, leading
international and regional bars join Bali’s hospitality community across Ubud, Seminyak and
Canggu, creating a programme built on collaboration rather than competition. Guest shifts,
masterclasses, dining experiences and cultural encounters give bartenders and audiences the
opportunity to experience different perspectives while celebrating the people, places and
flavours that make Bali unique.
THE BCX EXPERIENCE
BCX brings together Bali’s local hospitality community with leading bars and bartenders from
Indonesia and around the world. Across six days, guest shifts, collaborations, education and
dining create opportunities for the industry to connect, exchange ideas and experience Bali’s
cocktail culture together.
UBUD — 12–13 September 2026
BCX opens in Ubud on 12 September, with the main programme and guest shifts taking place
on 13 September.
SEMINYAK — 14–15 September 2026
Guest shifts, special events and collaborations across participating venues.
CANGGU — 16–17 September 2026
Guest shifts, closing events and the BCX Community Village at Regent Bali Canggu.
THE 2026 LINE-UP
The inaugural BCX line-up brings together bars and bartenders from Bali, Jakarta and across
the international cocktail scene, with guest shifts and collaborations taking place throughout
the week.
International guests include COA, Penicillin, Bar Us, Penrose, Drywave Cocktail Studio,
Little Lao Culture Bar, Native, CMYK, Hope & Sesame, Union Trading Co., Alice
Cheongdam, Reka:Bar, G.O.D and Raiza Carrera, alongside Jakarta guests including
Modernhaus, Carrots, OSMO, Dualism, HATS, The Cocktail Club and The St. Regis Bar
Jakarta.
The visiting bars and bartenders will work alongside Bali’s participating venues throughout the
week, creating opportunities for local and visiting hospitality teams to share techniques, ideas
and perspectives.

EDUCATION & INDUSTRY PROGRAMME
Education and knowledge exchange are central to BCX, with six masterclasses throughout the
week led by Penrose, COA, Raiza Carrera, Native and CMYK, alongside a collaborative Q&A
bringing participating bartenders together to share ideas, experiences and perspectives.
Four bartender brunches will also allow visiting and local bartenders to meet and connect
outside the bar.
The programme will also include a special cocktail dinner pairing, bringing together
cocktails, food and spirits as part of the BCX experience.
THE COMMUNITY VILLAGE
The BCX programme will conclude in Canggu with the BCX Community Village at Regent Bali
Canggu on 16–17 September.
Open to the public, the Community Village will bring together hospitality professionals,
cocktail enthusiasts, local producers, brands and the wider Bali community.
The two-day programme will include tastings, brand activations, education, a flair
demonstration, Balinese traditional dance, Balinese music and the Balinese Speed
Challenge, alongside opportunities to discover local ingredients, spirits and hospitality
brands.
LOOKING AHEAD
BCX is designed to grow into an annual platform for exchange, education, and collaboration,
strengthening connections between Bali’s hospitality community and the international bar
world while continuing to showcase the island’s own talent, culture, and cocktail identity.

Bali Cocktail Exchange (BCX) is an island-wide cocktail and hospitality platform founded by
Jas Farras and Vandena Yanarta.
The inaugural event brings together international and regional bars and bartenders with Bali’s
local hospitality community through bar takeovers, masterclasses, cocktail dining,
bartender gatherings and public programming.
BCX is organised by Yayasan Budaya Sajian Minuman Bali, a non-profit organisation
dedicated to supporting Bali’s hospitality and beverage community. Through BCX, the
foundation creates opportunities for education, collaboration and exchange between local
and international industry professionals.
The event also aims to showcase Bali’s growing cocktail culture and its place within the wider
international hospitality community.
