Opening Ceremony Day Zero at The Istana

39X Jl. Labuansait Pecatu

Tuesday, 14 April 2026 from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM

Day Zero enters Bali in sync with the spirit of the island, our festival ethos, guided by the philosophy of Tri Hita Karana.

We open with a traditional Balinese prayer, led by Mangku Ketut - a ceremonial offering and the festival’s first introduction to the spirit of Bali.

In honour of the land, the culture, and the journey we are about to enter.

As the sun begins to set, the space shifts.

Sound takes over, guiding us gently out of the everyday, and into a more open, present state of being.

A first-ever experimental live performance unfolds through sunset -
Damian Lazarus, Kamau Abayomi, and Sidartha Siliceo.

A convergence of mysticism and sound, movement and breath, setting the tone for what is to come.
